Thanks to pod systems, we can enjoy that beautiful hit of salt-based nicotine while simultaneously benefiting from using such a portable, user-friendly and all-around convenient vaping device.  Pod systems have definitely taken the vaping community by storm, and it’s hard to deny that they’ve helped even more people make the switch from smoking once and for all.

As vaping technology continues to evolve, we’re seeing a wider array of pod systems out there than ever before.  There are two main types of pod systems, and those are closed pod systems and open pod systems.

So, which type of pod system is right for you?  We’ve compared the two in order to give a definitive answer for the general vaping community.

Closed Pod Systems

Closed pod systems were the first pod systems to hit the market.  These are extremely simple devices that consist of two components: a pod mod, which contains the battery, and a disposable pod cartridge.  These disposable pod cartridges are pre-filled with e-liquid by the manufacturer, and you can choose from a limited range of flavors.  For the most part, you can only use the pod cartridges that were designed to be compatible with the pod mod device that you’re using.

Closed pod systems are great for people who want to have as simple an experience as possible.  Generally speaking, there are no settings to adjust and no features to explore.  You simply snap the pod into the mod and vape away.

Open Pod Systems

Open pod systems are a lot like closed pod systems in that they consist of a mod with a built-in battery and a pod cartridge.  However, the pods that come with open pod systems are empty, and the user can fill them with any salt nic e-liquid that they’d like.  Even more interesting is the fact that many of today’s open pod systems let you enjoy both salt nic and freebase nic vape juices by making it easy for you to switch between different coils.

Plus, most open pod systems come with adjustable settings and unique features that let you customize your experience.  Popular features include adjustable wattage and temperature control.

And, lastly, you’ll almost definitely save money with an open pod system.  This is because of the fact that bottled e-juice is cheaper by the milliliter than e-liquid that’s already in a pod that’s used with a closed pod system.

And the Winner is…

It’s hard to deny that open pod systems are far more appealing in several ways.  For one thing, they’ll let you save money.  Also, they let you explore the full range of e-liquid flavors that are on the market.  And, of course, they allow you to customize your experience according to your preferences despite the fact that they’re not overly complicated technological devices.

It's All About Vaping Preferences

If you want a convenient way to vape while still being able to enjoy a wide variety of flavors, the ability to customize your experience and, of course, money-saving possibilities, we strongly suggest that you go with an open pod system.  As vaping continues to evolve, open pod systems are becoming more and more popular among the average vaper.  And, with so many on the market to choose from, we’re certain that you’ll be able to satisfy your individual vaping needs perfectly.
